Art & Craft Class: Summer 2021 Art Contest

Deepa Krishnan proudly presents an exciting series of FREE to enter, fun art contests for kids in the age group 4-14 years. Nothing like a good old-fashioned contest to get those creative neurons firing! The contests are now quarterly, that is once every 3 months, to give the children more time to prepare. Summer 2021 Contest

This season's contest is out of the world. Quite literally, as the theme is "Outer Space". Send in your best creative artwork based on the contest theme in any medium of your choice, 2-Dimensional or 3-Dimensional. Use this opportunity to challenge yourself to explore new art media and techniques. Gather all the supplies and get ready to create your own original work of art.

Once the artwork is complete, take a picture of it 📸 and click the "Submit Artwork" button below to submit your entry. Limit the entries to one per participant.

Contest Details

By submitting your child's artwork here, you have read and accepted the following rules, terms, and conditions 📜.

Eligibility:

Contest is open to all kids in the age group 4-14 years from any part of this world 🌎! Extra-terrestrials, please don't apply!
The entries submitted for the previous contests will not qualify for the current one.
The artwork should be based on the current contest theme.
The artwork created in a class environment under the guidance of a teacher will not qualify for the contest.
The artwork should be created during the contest time and not in the past.
The artwork should be signed by the participant with name and date.

Categories: The participants are grouped into the following categories as per their age at the time of submission.

Red Group: Ages 4 to 5 years
Yellow Group: Ages 6 to 8 years
Green Group: Ages 9 to 11 years
Blue Group: Ages 12 to 14 years

Timelines: The contest timelines are as follows.

1-Jul-2021: Contest Announcement for the quarter.
1-Sep-2021: Deadline to submit the artwork.
From 11-Sep-2021 to 14-Sep-2021: All qualifying entries from each age-category will be posted everyday in the website and social media pages.
21-Sep-2021: Announcement of Prize winners in the Red Group.
22-Sep-2021: Announcement of Prize winners in the Yellow Group.
23-Sep-2021: Announcement of Prize winners in the Green Group.
24-Sep-2021: Announcement of Prize winners in the Blue Group.

Prizes: All participants will receive a Surprise Gift and the winners 🏆 from each category will receive their Award Certificate by email. The winning entries will be featured in the social media pages for the whole world to see 👀.

Judging Criteria: All artworks will be judged based on the following criteria and the judge's decision is final.

Adherence to the theme of the contest.
Creativity.
Uniqueness / Originality.
Aesthetic Quality ( Design, Composition, Color/Tones).
Selection and application of the materials used.
Quality of the Artwork submitted.

Rights: Content submitted will appear in website page and social media sites with credit given to submitting artist without any transfer of rights belonging to the artist. Deepa Krishnan reserves the right to remove files from the page without prior notice.
